Microsoft had re-imagined the notifications sounds in Windows 11/10. When any toast notification arrives on your PC, a default notification sound is played to let you know of the presence of an alert.
You can change notification sounds for emails and calendar events directly within the new Outlook app for Windows. In classic Outlook, you can choose whether to play a sound when a new email arrives.
